PhD projects available within PRISM²
Sun 18th December
PhD projects at the University of Birmingham's Department of Metallurgy & Materials - and within the PRISM² research group - can be started at any time of the year. However, demand is greatest at the start of the new academic year. The PRISM2 group does have a number of projects ongoing which could present an opportunity for a PhD student to research.
Projects at PRISM2 typically involve numerical modelling apsects, combined with experimental testing for validation purposes. Candidates should have either a Materials Science / Metallurgy / Mechanical Engineering / Mathematics background and an interest in Research & Development within the Manufacturing industry.
Please feel free to contact the administrative staff at PRISM², or the department of Metallurgy and Materials, to find out more about the specific vacancies.
